EN: This abstract limestone sculpture stands north of the Laufen train station by the underpass to the tracks.
It is a block of stone that is about three meters high and long. The thickness is less than one meter.
On the west side there is a recessed shape carved out, on the east side there is a similar shape but protruding from the surface. This shape is remotely reminiscent of a crozier, the heraldic symbol of the city of Laufen.
I could not find out the title or the artist. There was also nothing to be found about the time of creation.
DE: Diese abstrakte Kalksteinskulptur steht nördlich des Bahnhofs von Laufen bei der Unterführung zu den Gleisen.
Es ist ein Steinblock der etwa drei Meter hoch und lang ist. Die Dicke ist unter einem Meter.
Auf der Westseite ist eine vertiefte Form herausgemeisselt, an der Ostseite ist eine ähnliche Form, die aber aus der Oberfläche herausragt. Diese Form erinnert entfernt an einen Bischofsstab, das Wappensymbol der Stadt Laufen.
Ich konnte weder den Titel noch den Künstler herausfinden. Auch über die Entstehungszeit war nichts zu finden.
