Cette maison fut construite en 1793 par James Thompson, surveillant des travaux militaires de sa majesté George III, sur un terrain cédé en 1789 par les ursulines à Charles Cornélier dit Grandchamp. Ses descendants l'habitèrent jusqu'en 1957.

James Thompson, né à Tain, Ross-Shire, Écosse, en 1732, mourut à Québec, le 25 août 1830, à quatre-vingt-dix-huit ans.

James Thompson House

This house was built in 1793 by James Thompson, overseer of the military works of His Majesty George III, on land ceded in 1789 by the Ursulines to Charles Cornélier dit Grandchamp. His descendants lived there until 1957.

James Thompson, born in Tain, Ross-Shire, Scotland, in 1732, died in Quebec, August 25, 1830, at the age of ninety-eight.
