Hall's Tavern was built in the Federal style in 1804 to a design by John Leland,Jr. and Calvin Hall as a home, tavern, store, and inn. Notably, the tavern and inn was used during the War of 1812 to house British prisoners of war. It also was used as a Masonic meeting place. Calvin Hall sold the property in 1816 to the Cole family. They owned the building until about 1946. Currently, its a private residence.
The 2½ story building has a gable roof and a central chimney. The front is five bays wide with a central entrance framed by piasters and with a pediment above. The doorway is flanked by two screened double hung windows on each side. The second floor has five matching windows. The sides of the building have two double hung windows on both the lower and upper levels and a single window at the attic level. A garage has been added to the back of the building.
