A partir 1970, comenzó a derrumbarse paulatinamente.
En 1998 la ermita fue reinaugurada.
Next to the castle, to which it belonged, is the hermitage of Santiago, with which the wall was once linked.
It is a construction from the 16th and 17th centuries, rebuilt in the mid-19th century.
Inside, the 18th century baroque altarpiece from the Monastery of Nuestra Señora de la Alconada is of interest.
Later, around 1851, it became dependent on the parish and was rebuilt thanks to Don Manuel de Tariego, canon of Seville. Starting in 1970, it began to gradually collapse.
In 1998 the hermitage was reopened.
