[EN] Built in the 13th century, probably on the remains of a previous temple. The place where it is located has an overwhelming force that must have prompted men since time immemorial to place their sanctuaries here and pray to their divinities.

The layout of the hermitage is late Romanesque, as it shows some Gothic elements, such as the slightly pointed warheads on the façade. The capitals of the columns include phytomorphic (vegetal) Romanesque decoration. The corbels are also Romanesque, although those that crown a window with an arch are more current reproductions, imitating the old medieval artistic style. Possibly over these windows the residence of the hermit who lived here was located.

This hermitage is documented as a hostel for pilgrims who descended the Portillo de Busto, in search of the main Jacobean Way, known as the French Way. A single simple nave decorated with frescoes makes up the interior of the building. Once a year, in July, the hermitage opens to make way for the pilgrimage of la Toberilla
