This land was purchased and designated a cemetery in
1852 by Jacob Eckert. All burials appear to be ethnic
German. Currently the cemetery is maintained by the
McHenry County Conservation District as a prairie.

There are sixty-odd burials here, most of whom were
listed in a book published by the McHenry Genealogical
Society. Most stones are under heavy growth and
visitation is not permitted without permission.

Earliest and latest data below is from their list and
not mine -- I could only read 6 graves. An early 1950s
grave is also here.
Earliest Burial: 04/19/1853

Latest Burial: 02/10/1945
