ESTADIO MUNICIPAL'NUEVA BALASTERA' : Es una instalación deportiva de moderna construcción que se ha convertido en un icono de la ciudad por su singularidad. Inaugurado el 10 de octubre de 2006, su arquitecto Patxi Mangado fue premio Nacional de Arquitectura en 2007, de estilo minimalista y contemporáneo destaca por sus cuatro torres de iluminación,que con luz o sin ella, dibujan en el cielo palentino su figura creando un efecto sorprendente a la vista.

El interior del estadio, dotado con 8.100 asientos en el graderío, permite una circulación fluida a los espectadores y una buena visión del terreno de juego. El césped natural da juego a los equipos palentinos de fúbol y rugby en sus respectivas ligas nacionales.

Dotado de amplios vestuarios, spa, salas de recuperación y gimnasios ofrece un escenario ideal para el trabajo de los deportistas. Dispone así mismo de oficinas para clubes,sala vip, aula y sala de prensa. No ha pasado desapercibida la calidad y el servicio que prestan éstas instalaciones a la Federación Española de Fútbol que ha organizado varios partidos internacionales de la Selección Nacional Sub21.

El estadio mantiene su disposición a la utilización para eventos deportivos de nivel nacional e internacional.

Actualmente este estadio alberga los partidos del Club Deportivo Palencia Cristo Atlético y del Palencia Rugby Club.

'NUEVA BALASTERA' MUNICIPAL STADIUM: It is a modern sports facility that has become an icon of the city due to its uniqueness. Inaugurated on October 10, 2006, its architect Patxi Mangado was awarded the National Architecture Award in 2007, with a minimalist and contemporary style, it stands out for its four lighting towers, which with or without light, draw his figure in the Palencia sky, creating an effect amazing to look at.
