From the suggested parking at the pull-off along State Highway 59 at N44 31.895 W105 25.692, the marker is located 0.58 miles away at a bearing of 220 degrees. I recommend walking parallel to the highway right-of-way fence along its southeast side until the marker is nearly due southeast from the fence. From there, walk southeast up the sagebrush-covered slopes of a badlands ridge to reach the marker.
