The cemetery has a black wrought iron fence along the road, with an entrance in the middle. There is an archway with the words "Millrift cemetery 1888, and two panels of gate to allow access. The gates are of black wrought iron. There are seven gold fleur-de-lis on each gate, a gold manufacture emblem, and curly-cues large and small. The fence and gates were made by the Stewart Company in Cinncinati, Ohio.

The cemetery houses residents from the early days of the town, as well as more recent occupants.
