The Grace Episcopal Church began in 1797 by a group dissidents that left the Congregational Church, They built their first church at the corner of Church and Kelsey Streets. In 1872 Grace Church Parish is formed. The current award winning environmentally conscious church was built in 1957.
The church building is set back 225' from Maple Hill Avenue. The mid-century modern style building is one story high and about 115' long. The chuch gas a gable roof on the longer north end and a flat roof on the southern end. The entrance is where these two section join. It is covered by a projecting flat roof supported buy a post on the southwest corner and a tall carillon, with a cross on top, on the north west corner.
The long gabled section has an auxiliary entrance with a a peaked roof at the north end of the church. Eleven floor to ceiling windows are locaed between the carillon and the auxiliary entrance and three more windows are locate beyond the second entrance.
