The large tree is near the Miriam Vale Cenotaph, and has often sheltered people congregating in the park, and trucks and vans waiting for the nearby trains. The trunk of the tree is ~12 metres in circumference, and the canopy east to west 30m, and north to south 35m, and stands almost 15m high. Near the tree is a plaque with a QR code to scan for more information.
