Justo al lado del nuevo Belchite, se mantienen en pie las famosas ruinas del Pueblo Viejo, bombardeado y arrasado durante la cruenta Guerra Civil.

Sorprendentemente, muchas de las ruinas del Pueblo Viejo de Belchite todavía conservan la grandeza del pasado, como las de la iglesia de San Martín de Tours, la torre del Reloj o los arcos de la Villa y de San Roque. Compruébalo tú mismo de la mano de los guías de la localidad a través de las visitas guiadas diurnas o nocturnas.
La iglesia de San Martín de Tours es uno de los edificios principales del Pueblo Viejo. Su torre procede del siglo XV y sus tres cuerpos tienen decoración mudéjar, al igual que la torre del Reloj, otro de los monumentos mudéjares que se conservan en el pueblo antiguo.
Por cierto, este paisaje arruinado envuelto en leyendas ha sido elegido por numerosos cineastas como localización para sus películas. Es el caso de Guillermo del Toro, que rodó aquí El Laberinto del Fauno.

The church of San Martín de Tours is one of the main buildings of the Old Town. Its tower dates from the 15th century and its three bodies have Mudejar decoration, like the Clock Tower, another of the Mudejar monuments that are preserved in the old town.
By the way, this ruined landscape shrouded in legends has been chosen by many filmmakers as the location for their films. This is the case of Guillermo del Toro, who filmed El Laberinto del Fauno here.
