Baptism font inside St Lawrence's church, Barton.
In 1896 the present church was built at a cost of £4438, designed by R. Knill Freeman of Bolton. Internal changes saw the installation and consecration of a new font and cover in 1962.
A circular font with zig-zag pattern around the top rim, and sawtooth pattern on the lower edge. It stands on a column of 4 fused pillars and a plain circular plinth on an octagonal step.
