The Glastonbury Korean War monument honors those who served in the Korean War and specifically Peter P. Monaco, Jr. USMC who was killed in action on September 15, 1952 while on a combat patrol in North Korea by enemy artillery fire.
A 5' high granite monument with an curved top containing a laurel leaf design has a bronze plaque honoring Peter P. Monaco, Jr. USMC and all veterans of the Korean War. The monument is fifth in an arc of of monuments in Green Park. The plaque is inscribed:

AND HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED
THE UNITED STATES AND UNITED
NATIONS, 1950 - 1953
