144 NO 2 - Albany County, Wyoming - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

Reference mark 2 is set in the top of a concrete post that projects about 4 inches above the ground. Parts of the edges of the concrete post have been broken off, but the disk appears to have maintained its position well. It is about 18 feet south of the centerline of a two-track dirt road. The disk that it references, U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey and State Survey Station No. 144 (MO1280), was destroyed at some point in the past. A log that once existed on geocaching.com from the 2000s recovered part of the concrete post that Station No. 144 was once connected to. I found the same piece of concrete, but like the previous individual, I was unable to find the disk itself.

The mark is located on publicly accessible Wyoming State Trust land. Parking is available at Sodergreen Lake (N41 09.560 W105 55.780).
