To reach the mark from Exit 311 on I-25 in Laramie, drive southwestward on State Highway 230 for 15.85 miles. The mark is located 65 feet south-southeast of the centerline of the highway. It is a USGS cap set on top of a pipe that projects about 1.5 feet above the ground and is about 5 inches north-northwest of a fence line. The USGS National Map labels this mark as "BM 7315."
