This benchmark is set in the top of a square concrete post that projects about 2 inches above the ground at the top of the hill; it is about 3 feet east of a metal post (the post likely once held the witness post sign, which has since disappeared). The NGS data sheet description is adequate; the only difference between the 1947 description and now is that State Highway 87 is now State Highway 59.
