The mark is a round disk set in a concrete post projecting 18 inches above the ground. The mark is located 7.10 miles west of Wake Forest. To reach proceed along NC 98 Hwy 0.10 mile west of Penny-Hester Bridge to road side parking and hiking trailhead. Follow hiking trail 40 yards to the mark 15 yards west of an information kiosk sign.
