English: Playground made as a copy of the Viking ship Ladbydragen. The vessel has been used in inland waters and was used in 925 to bury a great man or Viking king in Ladby by Kertinge nor south of the hill. Public access around the clock.

In Ladby they buried the Viking giant - or perhaps even the king? - in a tomb - dated to 925 - i.e. the years before the reign of Gorm the Old. As something very special, the remains of the burial in a Viking ship are preserved in the burial mound itself and can be visited to this day. Denmark's only known Viking ship grave. A copy of the vessel is erected on Munkebo hill as a playground for the historically aware children - and in the newly built information center with its exemplary storytelling, you can read about the area's treasures, archaeological finds and the transformation the place has undergone over the years.
