Shilo was donated by Veterinarians Mark Helfat and his wife Mendy Helfat. Shilo stands howling within small grassy area amid a grove of trees. The Beagle is named after their own beagle Shilo.
Sculpted by Jim Sardonis and cast in bronze by Glenn Campbell this sculpture stands 6 feet high and 6 feet long

The Howling Beagle is a generous gift from Mark P. Helfat, D.V.M. in memory of his parents, Lucile and Bernard Helfat, who loved dogs. The sculpture is named in honor of Dr. Helfat's own beagle, Shilo.
