Gibraltar es una pequeña península situada en el extremo sur de España. A pesar de encontrarse en territorio español, es una colonia que pertenece a la Corona Británica.

En el año 711 los musulmanes conquistaron la Península Ibérica entrando por Gibraltar. Por ello, fue el primer territorio ocupado de toda la Península. No fue hasta 1501 cuando los Reyes Católicos pudieron incorporar Gibraltar a la Corona de Castilla. Sin embargo, en el año 1713, durante el reinado de Felipe V, España cedió Gibraltar a los ingleses con la firma del Tratado de Utrecht.

Gibraltar cuenta con una posición estratégica privilegiada, en la que se unen el mar Mediterráneo con el océano Atlántico. Reino Unido cuenta con una gran base militar en el Peñón. Además, el Estrecho de Gibraltar es el que separa África de Europa.

Y como buenos ingleses continúan con los teléfonos típicos de Inglaterra, aunque dudo que funcionen.
