The County Court House was to house the Court of Quarter Sessions and the Supreme Court of Saint John County. It was designed in the neo-Classical by Scottish-born architect John Cunningham.

The three story symmetrical building has a hip roof and is built of stone blocks. It is seven bays wide with a central entrance topped with with a fan window. There are three, three by four pane double-hung windows set within arched on both sides of the entrance. The second floor has seven three by four pane double-hung windows. The middle three windows are separated by four piasters. They have decorative headers and decorative balusters below. The top floor has a pair of windows on both side of a protruding central section. Above the central section is a pediment.

The court house is now vacant but there are plans to convert it into a theatre. (visit link)
