Reference mark no. 1 is set in the top of a rectangular-shaped rock to the southeast of the station mark. The rock is flush with the ground surface near the base of a blue spruce.

The station mark has been posted as a separate Waymark by DayTrekkers in 2012 (WM3P5Z). I found this mark while on a Rayado Trek at Philmont Scout Ranch in the summer of 2012. The mark is accessible to Philmont Scout Ranch treks that summit Mt. Phillips as part of their itinerary.
