MAYFIELD (HF0767) - Sumner County, Kansas - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

The triangulation station and its reference marks are located on the grounds of the standpipe on the south end of town. The mark is located ~15 feet to the south of the Carsonite witness post that stands along the east-west running fence line. The station mark has been buried ~6 inches beneath the ground surface. When I found the mark in 2012, someone had dug a hole down to the disk to make it visible. Per The Snowdog's log on the geocaching.com benchmark page for MAYFIELD in February 2022, the mark was still visible.
