Robert Earl Erwin lived only about six months, while his twin sister, Edna Mae (Erwin) Monnig, was more fortunate and lived to be 76. Their parents are buried in the old, historic Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery that is today part of Mansfield Cemetery, while Mrs. Monning and her husband, Paul, are buried across the road in the newer section. The cenotaph reads:

In Memory of
Robert Earl Erwin
Twin Brother of
Edna M. Erwin Monnig
Apr. 12, 1886 -- Oct. 24, 1886
Buried Johnson Station, Texas

------------

Johnson Station is today part of Arlington, and the Findagrave page for his actual resting place is listed below.
