Ce cimetière catholique romain est situé à côté de l'église, sur boulevard Saint-Jean-Baptiste à Mercier, Québec.
Les registres de cette paroisse s’ouvrent en l’année 1840. Érection canonique: 7 décembre 1842. Érection civile: 8 juin 1845.
Construction de la première église a lieu entre 1846 - 1848. Cette église sera partiellement détruite dans l'incendie de 25 novembre 1955. Rebâtie, elle sera partiellement détruite pour la seconde fois, le 7 mars 1975. Rebâtie pour la seconde fois, elle est victime d'une troisième incendie, qui se déclare le 19 septembre 2019. Il n'est pas clair que va-t-elle devenir.

Mercier, anciennement Sainte-Philomène, est une ville dans la municipalité régionale de comté de Roussillon au Québec (Canada), située dans la région administrative de la Montérégie, qui se trouve au bord du lac Saint-Louis.
La ville a une superficie d'environ 45,95 km2 et une population de 14 626 habitants (2021).
Cette localité changea son nom en 1968 dans le but de rendre hommage à l'ancien premier ministre du Québec, Honoré Mercier, qui servit de 1887 à 1891.

This Roman Catholic cemetery is located next to the church, on boulevard Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Mercier, Quebec.
The registers of this parish open in the year 1840. Canonical erection: December 7, 1842. Civil erection: June 8, 1845.
Construction of the first church takes place between 1846 - 1848. This church will be partially destroyed in the fire of November 25, 1955. Mercier, formerly Sainte-Philomène, is a town in the regional county municipality of Roussillon in Quebec (Canada), located in the administrative region of Montérégie, which is on the shores of Lake Saint-Louis.
The city has an area of approximately 45.95 km2 and a population of 14,626 (2021).
This locality changed its name in 1968 in order to pay tribute to the former premier of Quebec, Honoré Mercier, who served from 1887 to 1891.
