Hasselhoffs Name wird parodiert von den Foo Fighters in Long Road to Ruin. Dave Grohl spielt im Video den Schauspieler Davy Grolton, welcher als Hansom Davidoff Hauptdarsteller in der Seifenoper Long Road to Ruin ist.
In den USA ist bekannt, dass Hasselhoff in Deutschland zeitweilig erfolgreicher als in seiner Heimat war, was mehrfach karikiert wurde. Anspielungen darauf sind zum Beispiel in den Filmen Voll auf die Nüsse und Eurotrip zu sehen.
