Village Green is an urban park located in the center of the city of Bar Harbor. It is bounded by Firefly Lane, Main Street, Mount Desert Street and Kennebec Street.
The original free-standing cast iron town clock from 1896 stands on Main Street. It was donated by Mrs. William Tucker and her two sons from Boston. It was moved to this location in 1905.
The clock has a black frame and the dials display the hours in black Arabic numerals and the minutes with a black dot. The clock hands are also black. In the middle of the dials we can read: E. Howard & Co. Boston.
