[EN] This fountain was erected in execution of a bequest made to the city of Bourges by Paul-Adrien Bourdaloue, deputy mayor, an engineer who had worked, among other things, on the leveling of the Isthmus of Suez, who died in 1868. The work consists of a circular stone basin and, in the center, two superimposed basins decorated at the foot with three winged lions and, at the top, with a "love". This set is prolonged, in front of the square, by a stone bollard, surmounted by a cast iron motif representing a "love" surrounded by dolphins.
