Ledger stone in St Andrew's church to Samuel Gilman (d. 1741)
"Samuel Gilman, born , 1675; married first, at Wymondham, November 13, 1701, Hester, daughter of William Le Neve of Wymondham; second, Anna Francis Amyas, who was born 1677. His first wife was buried at Hingham, February 25, 1723-4; and his second died at the same place, March 10, 1740; and he was buried at the same place, November 28, 1741. A tablet to his memory in the chancel of the church of Hingham is inscribed as follows :
