Monument justification:
The Old Town Hall has a historical significance for the history of the village and due to its testimonial and visual value for the architectural history and as an exemplary town hall of the Renaissance, one of the few in the west of Lower Saxony. In addition, it has an urban planning significance for the market place and for the townscape. For these reasons, its preservation is in the public interest."
