It is claimed that Davy said, “You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas.” after he lost his Tennessee bid for the U.S. Congress. Whether he did or not can't be proved but it is a legend. He did indeed come to Texas (and died at the Alamo).
A young Davy wearing a coonskin cap, and buckskins. He is seated on a white bench with his feets (clad in boot) propped up on a red and white cooler. He is holding a cellphone in his right hand. His left arm is resting along the top of the bench back. Next to his left elbow is his rifle. Next to his right elbow is a bottle of beer. The background is blue sky with white clouds. There is a small green square with “You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas.”
