The American Museum of Tort Law was established in 2015 as the only museum of it's kind in the world. Consumer watchdog Ralph Nader personally donated $150,000 to establish the museum. The mission is to make the public aware of the law of wrongful injury and how to make the world a safer place.

What is in the collection:

The American Museum of Tort Law contains exhibits about such famous tort law victories that exposed: the dangers of asbestos, tobacco, faulty motor vehicles, and defective workplace equipment. The Museum has galleries examining important precedent-setting cases, an exhibit of dangerous toys, an exhibit of interactive panels with the details of seven important cases such as the dangers of the Ford Pinto as exposed in his best-selling book Unsafe At Any Speed, Liebeck v. McDonalds - the "Hot Coffee Case", the tobacco and asbestos litigation, and several other cases.
