Jälluntofta church was built in 1860-62 and consecrated in 1865. It is built on the same site as the medieval church. The church was built by builder Johannes Bengtsson, Bökhult, after a missing drawing from about 1850. The tower has a steeple roof, an open lantern with a cornice-shaped roof and a cross.
The church is built of stone with plastered, whitewashed facades. The roofs are covered with Spanish slate in 1996. Below the current waterproofing layer is the original sealing layer of birch knots. The tower roof and the lantern intake are covered with copper sheeting.
The lantern was clad in copper in 1969.

- The pulpit was made of oak by Joel Spits in 1861.
- The baptismal font was made of sandstone.
- There are 2 bells in the tower, they were cast in 1893.
- The organ dates from 1877 and was originally built by J Andersson, Långaryd, but has new organ work from 1963 by Ingvar Johansson in Långaryd.
