Au centre, assise sur un siège gothique la couronne de fleurs de lys posée sur la tête modestement voilée, NOTRE DAME DE BON SECOURS, patronne de l'église, en souvenir de la chapelle de secours qui lui fut autrefois dédiée.
Sur ses genoux repose le petit enfant Jésus. Il tient dans sa main gauche le bateau symbolique à la voile gonflée. Sa main droite, soutenue et comme dirigée par la main maternelle, bénit gracieusement.
A droite de la sainte Vierge, Saint Martin, patron de Biarritz, est agenouillé tenant sa crosse d'évêque à la main, tandis qu'au second plan se tient l'Archange Gabriel dont les ailes repliées épousent la courbe de l'ogive.
A sa gauche, Sainte Eugénie, dans son costume de moine, s'appuie sur son épée, instrument de son martyre. A son côté, l'archange saint Michel perce de sa lance le dragon que NOTRE DAME foule aux pieds. Au-dessus, l'inscription latine "Nos cum prole pia benedicat Virgo Maria" (Que la Vierge Marie et son divin fils nous bénissent) est empruntée à l'office liturgique de la très sainte Vierge.

Sa construction a duré de 1898 à 1903. Auparavant s'élevait à cet endroit la chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Pitié. La construction du clocher a commencé en 1927 et les cloches y furent installées en 1931. L'édifice possède des vitraux exceptionnels de Luc-Olivier Merson.
La maquette de bateau en ex-voto est un trois-mâts de guerre armé de canons, à la coque bleue, noire et blanche : La Mathilde.
La crypte
La crypte abrite la tombe du curé Gaston Larre, premier curé de la paroisse en 1884 et qui avait décidé la modification de la petite chapelle originelle. Aujourd'hui elle accueille des expositions d'art de la ville.
