While on holidays in the Tuscan region, I wandered through the small town of Dicomano. On top of the hill overlooking the town is the Pieve S. Maria. Lovely church and lovely view of the town.

"Of great visual impact due to the rationality and linearity of the forms, it is one of the few sacred buildings that have kept the originality of the Romanesque structure relatively unaltered, typical of the buildings of the Florentine countryside of the XII-XIII century. Restored many times, it contains details of great value, such as the wedding of S. Anna and S. Giovacchino (glazed polychrome terracotta) attributed to Santi Di Buglione (16th century).
