L’église de St Pierre / St Paul de
Dompierre-les-Eglises

The church of Dompierre-les-Eglises
The building consists of a nave
and two small transepts.
The nave ends with two masonry
gables, covered with freestone slopes. At the end of the nave, on the west
side, is an octagonal wooden frame bell tower, surmounted by a very pointed
spire. Bell tower and spire are covered with chestnut wood shingles. The bell
tower rests on the one hand on a step in the masonry of the gable, on the other
hand on two wooden uprights taking their point of support on the floor of the
church. The nave may have originally been covered by a masonry vault.
