The Backfreund is a craft backery in the Westerwald. It is still using a wood-fired oven and the bread and buns are made in the style in the tradition of backery. No enzyms and other helpers are used. The bread is only made using natural ingredients (and time).
The backery is famous not only at the town of its position. The people are coming from a large area to that place to buy their bread. The Backfreund is offering different kind of bread and cake and every day they are making a different sort of it. On their web-page (http://backfreund.de) you can see the plan what will be offered in the next. For people who interested in the traditional craft of backery they also offer courses.
