Upper Macungie Township is located in West Lehigh County and there are a surprising number of boundary markers along the edges of the township where roads meet the boundary. This particular marker is the border of Upper Macungie Township in Lehigh County and Longswamp Township in Berks County. This marker is on the west side of Dorney Road.
Like all of the boundary markers in the area, it is made of cement and was erected in 1963. This boundary monument is in good shape, and has more modern signage nearby indicating where you are.

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There are actually two markers here - one on the east side of Dorney Road and one on the west side of Dorney Road. Their location is about 1/4 mile east of Mertz Road after Dorney Road turns north (1/8 mile north of the turn). There appears to be a superfund site to the west.
