This outdoor theater was constructed by the WPA in 1939. The twenty-four tiers of native stone are held together by mortar. This was a popular location for gatherings such as Easter Sunrise services. The site fell into disrepair and was abandoned in the 1970s after the original lodge burned. The amphitheater has since been restored and re-opened in July 2017 with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
