The Olney Carnegie Library was built in 1903 with a $10,000 grant to the City of Olney. It was used as Richland County's main library from January 6, 1904, until May 1990 when the new Olney Public Library opened. It is now the home of the Carnegie Building Museum and is open to the public April through November on Sundays 1-4pm. It houses many local artifacts, such as items from Richland County's oil industry, Native American artifacts, Civil War relics, antique radios and a display on the Weber Sanitarium. In the ceiling of the main floor of the library, there is a large, beautiful, stained glass window original to the building. The Carnegie Building was added to the National Registry of Historical Places in 2002.
