Mission San Jose

Is a historic catholic mission in San Antonio Texas. The mission was founded in 1720, work began in 1768, and completed in 1782. Known as Queen of the mission's." This is the largest of the missions. In the early 1800s, San Jose served the Coahuiltecan Indians. After 1830, the building was used to house the soldiers, the homeless, and bandits. It was restored in the 1930's and is now part of the S.A.M. Historical Park's.


On the left side is the San Jose Mission with a white longhorn in front of it. On the right side of the outline is a yellow sky above a landscape.
