A Georgian wooden parish chest in St Andrew's church, Colyton.

Donated by church wardens Richard Lucas and William Bamphiel in 1729, as indicated by the names and date painted on the front panels. A plain paneled box with a row of 3 locks and a hinged 3/4 length lid. It has reinforced bottom corners and stands on plain Cabriole legs (visit link) typical of the period.
