Volgens Wikipedia:
"In 1814 kwam Ravenstein bij het toen opgerichte Koninkrijk der Nederlanden. Onder Nederlands bestuur werd het kasteel in 1818 tot en met de fundamenten gesloopt. Slechts de Kasteelsepoort bleef bestaan als onderdeel ervan."
