In 1896, John E. Parsons, a New York attorney, gave Trinity Episcopal Church this parish house in memory of his late wife, Mary Dumesnil Parsons, who had died in 1896.

The one story high Parish House of the Trinity Episcopal Church was designed by Maxfield Parrish in the Romanesque Revival style and built in 1896. The building is built of course granite blocks in the form of a cross and has a red slate, cross-gable, roof.

A set of semi-circular steps and lead up to the north facing portico entrance. Seven arched openings are supported by seven sets of marble columns. Above is an semi-dome roof. The main block of the Parish House is one bay wide on the west side and two bays wide on the east side north of the wings. Each bay has a window with a rounded top.

The gable end of the wing on the west side has an auxiliary entrance flanked by a pair of windows with arched tops. A one bay wide by one bay deep extension on the north side has a slanted roof. The wing on the east side is two bays deep with a ramp leading up to an auxiliary entrance at the first bay. The second bay has a single widow with an rounded top. The wing has a double window with rounded tops. The gable end is windowless and has a chimney at the apex of the roof.
