The two storey former ANZ bank opened in 1859 as the Union Bank that had the banking chamber, manager's room, dining and strong rooms, private entrance and stair hall on the ground floor. The basement contained kitchens, servants rooms etc and first floor had drawing room, hall corridor and bed rooms. The facade features Roman Ionic columns.
