"Secularly known as Tras la Cerca, as soon as you leave the Puerta de la Villa, which was a watchtower and venue for the open councils, a solid wall canvas is visible, made of slate masonry, approximately 15 ms long. ., on which the house of Coaña built its foundations, built by Antonio García de Coaña in 1692 next to the path that surrounded the wall, to which the medieval arcade served as a porch.

At first it was built as a privilege for Navia rather than as a defense and it extended from Calle de las Armas to San Francisco. At the end of the last century, its demolition began to make it easier for the shipping population to spread."
