"Welcome to the Germantown Church of God on the beautiful mountain top in Cascade, Maryland overlooking Frederick and Washington County and near Franklin County Pennsylvania.
Germantown Church of God is a serving Church. Just as Jesus came to serve others, we take seriously our call to serve our world. We have served the mountain top community of Cascade, Maryland for over 145 years. Members of our Church family serve their community through the Hagerstown Rescue Mission, our local Food Bank/ Help Hotline, and more. We serve our world by supporting ministries to those of other cultures with our prayers, our gifts, our time and our energy.
Church of God is a loving Church family. In one of Jesus' best known stories, he told of a wayward son who came home to a welcoming, loving, accepting, and forgiving Father. We believe that it is important to provide a safe place for fellowship, where people will find encouragement and support. A place where people will feel loved and accepted, no matter where they have been or what they have done.
Germantown Church of God is a Church on a journey. Our people are on a spiritual journey back to God. Some have been on that journey for many years. Some are just starting out. We want to help people grow stronger on that journey back to God, no matter where they are. We provide opportunities for fellowship, study of scriptures, worship, prayer, and service to nurture members of our Church family on their journey. We welcome others to join us."
