Grand Mound is located in the heart of the grain belt of America. Surrounded by fields of corn and beans, this town has kept its small town appeal without giving up its modern conveniences. On July 4th, the fireworks shoot for the sky and draws a crowd from the surrounding larger communities. Often when the fireworks begin, the country roads around this town are lined with parked cars. The display is thought by many to be the finest in Iowa.
