"The church of San Pedro de Cudillero from the mid-16th century was built at a time of prosperity for the town.
It has a single nave, with two side chapels, ribbed vaults and a semicircular apse.
In the Spanish Civil War it suffered a fire and several very important images and one of the most beautiful altarpieces in the region were lost.
It preserves excellent carvings: a San Francisco de Asís, by Antonio Borja (17th-early 18th century); The image of Christ Crucified in the baroque altarpiece, from the first third of the 17th century, also stands out."
